How do I create an account?
Download Tempo from the App Store, open it, and tap Get started. You can sign in with Apple or with an email and password. Your name and neighborhood can be edited later in Settings → Profile.
Tempo won't show any venues near me — what's wrong?
Tempo needs location permission to show nearby venues. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Tempo and set it to While Using the App. We currently have venue coverage in Los Angeles; if you're outside LA the map will be sparse until we expand to your city.
I got charged but Tempo Pro features aren't unlocked.
Open the app and go to Settings → Tempo Pro → Restore Purchases. This re-checks your App Store receipt and unlocks Pro on the device. If that doesn't fix it within a minute or two, email hello@skipthewait.app with the email address tied to your Apple ID and we'll sort it out.
How do I cancel my Tempo Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Tempo. On your iPhone, open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Tempo → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Pro until the end of the current billing period.
How do I report inappropriate content or block another user?
Long-press any check-in, photo, tip, or chat message and tap Report or Block. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and offending content is removed. Blocked users can't see your content and you won't see theirs. You can manage your block list any time in Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.
How do I delete my account?
Open Tempo and go to Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. This is immediate and irreversible — your profile, check-ins, photos, and points are removed, and your email is unlinked. You can also email privacy@skipthewait.app if you can't sign in.
A wait time is wrong. Can I fix it?
Tap the venue, then tap Check in and report the actual crowd level. Your report is weighted alongside other recent reports, so the displayed wait will update as more people contribute. The freshest reports always count the most.
How does the leaderboard work?
You earn points for every verified check-in and bonus points for streaks. Rankings reset weekly. If you'd rather not appear on the public leaderboard, toggle Leaderboard Visibility off in Settings → Privacy.
I'm a venue owner — how do I get listed or claim a listing?
Email hello@skipthewait.app with your venue name, address, and a link to your website or social profile. We'll get back to you with next steps.
